Artist's Statement

This is one of my only pieces of digital artwork that contains text, and this is a phrase that I've been seeing spread recently in the art world. I'm still not sure how best to use my artwork to help the cause, but I think this is a small step forward in terms of creating something that I feel strongly about. This portrait is IU, who is a Korean singer I like, with doodles in her hair inspired by Japanese motifs like bonsais and lotus ponds.
