Artist's Statement
The above photographs are all self portraits. Self portraiture is very important to Leo and his work. Art is an idea expressed through a media, which is his photography, and in a similar way that is how he views his body. Leo's body is a tool that his spirit uses, and photography is the tool his body and spirit uses to create art.
Bio
Leo Xander Foo is a Chinese-American photographer based in New York City. His art focuses on self expression, transness, the mutations of gender, and connections to the spaces around him.
